Mahama Boots Out Afriyie Ankrah, Joseph Yammin From Sports Ministry

President MahamaPresident of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has made major reshuffles in the Sports Ministry following the exit of Ghana’s Black Stars from the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

In a release from the Flagstaff House on Saturday, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has been moved to the Presidency as a Minister of State with Minister of Information, Mahama Ayariga taking his position as the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Joseph Yammin has also been moved to the Ashanti Region to take over from Joseph Alexander Ackon who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection as the second Deputy.

As part of the ministerial reshuffle, the President has also designated Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, a Minister of State at the Presidency as Minister for Food and Agriculture.
