Youthful MP Elected Chairman of a Powerful House Committee

At the age of 29, Johnson Sakaja has achieved what many would be a dream-life. Besides being the chairman of Kenya’s most popular party, he is also a nominated member of the National Assembly.

Sakaja seems to be challenging the the skies in both legislative activities and in his normal life.

This morning, the youthful member of the 11th parliament was elected the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary (National Assembly and Senate) Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity.

Here is what he had to say:

“I have just been elected the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary (National Assembly and Senate) Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity. I thank God for this opportunity. This Committee is mandated to-

1. Monitor and promote measures relating to policy and program initiatives in
