Following the sacking of Embu Governor Martin Wambora over office abuse allegations, Kakamega MCA’s have now put their governor Wycliffe Oparanya on notice.
Speaking in Lugari, the Kakamega county minority leader Titus Marachi Kwoma claimed Oparanya had committed crimes similar to those that send Wambora packing.
“There exists wanton corruption at the county under the watch of Oparanya”, he said warning that if the governor failed to correct the misdeeds he may suffer similar fate to Wambora.
Kwoma complained delays in disbursement of development funds, reiterating that the delay had forced voters to lay blame on their performance.
“If the governor will not expedite the release of funds we shall have no alternative but to sent him home”, he pointed out noting that as elected leaders they will not continue to shoulder blame following the governor’s impropriety.
